The row of three terrace houses, Nepean Terrace, at 128-132 Gipps Street was erected in 1863-64 by Joseph Dean for Henry Dyer, a lime and cement merchant.
Some additions were undertaken in the 1880's. The terrace has housed a diverse selection of merchants and businessmen including A MacKay, MLA; L Karat, Inspector of Police; A Black, Assistant Surveyor General.
The two storey structure of handmade bricks has a one storey verandah. Nepean Terrace is an early and fine example
